Angela Hughes

Prior to becoming a mother to two daughters, Angela at just 23 years old was Regional Office Manager for one of the countries Top 100 companies.

Angela formed Elegant Dwellings in the Autumn of 2021 after an extensive twelve-month project to refresh the family home.  Angela has always taken a keen interest in property development and her style and design is heavily influenced from her time living in Manhatten, New York.

Site Manager

Steven Smith

Steve qualified as a joiner in 2004 and has spent over 20 years with a local construction company where he progressed from an Apprentice to Contract Manager.

Steve oversees the day to day running of the projects ensuring they run smoothly and that all health and safety regulations are being met.  He is also involved in the reconfiguration of internal layouts, to create new and vibrant spaces within our properties.

Construction Manager

Carl Eastlake

With over 30 years construction experience, Carl started life as a ground-worker before progressing to be Construction Manager, spending over 20 years with a local construction company.

Carl has overseen construction of family homes, multi-site housing developments and commercial sites across a number of industries.

Senior Carpenter

James Baker

James started his career into joinery at College where he qualified as a bench joiner.  For the past 20 years he has proceeded to work for a large construction company and a local joinery business.

James works on various projects throughout the build including internal and external joinery he also uses his talents to create bespoke pieces of furniture that add a unique and elegant touch to our properties.

Chairman

Michael Hughes

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Michael has overseen the growth of three of the region’s largest businesses.  Michael acts as de facto Chairman of Elegant Dwellings Property Limited providing business acumen and very poor interior design advice.

Sub-Contractors

We use a number of highly trained sub-contractors who are specialised in their own specific fields.  We believe this is the best way to build a quality product.
